BET AWARDS… What’s The Science?

Today’s “What’s the Science??” is dedicated to the 2007 BET Awards. Due to my work schedule, I was unable to catch most of the program. I was, however, able to make a few observations:

Monique was a good host, but not as strong as the last time.
50 Cent’s much-hyped performance was awful.
How did Jennifer Hudson win the Best New Artist Award without an album?
The Diana Ross tribute was great, especially Erykah Badu and Chaka Khan.
Ciara was off the hook, as usual.
Al Sharpton’s tribute to James Brown reminded me just how important Brown was to American culture and history.
Are v-neck tshirts back in style? Mario was rocking one last night and Jamie Foxx was recently seen with one too. Just asking….

Since I wasn’t able to catch the bulk of the show, I need your help: Who had the best performances? Who made a fool of herself? Who looked the best? Whose awards speech went too long? Who got cheated out of an award?
WHAT’S THE SCIENCE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!

Yeah, y’all come on with the 4-1-1–I didn’t see it all and I’m dying to know what went down. All I know is that one of the local radio personalities here in Chgo has gone ga-ga over E. Badu’s catsuit.

I think Ciara was performance was sorry. I guess i’m into people that can sing more than they can shake their behinds. I see her as another Janet Jackson. She might as well had lip-singed the freakin song. She was horrible.

I thought Kelly was good. The end was what was WEAK! Kelly, Beyonce, Michele, and Solange-WTF????

I didn’t need to see the show to know that would happen. I own the Original Broadway Soundtrack (in album form, thank you very much). If J. Holiday was working with half the vocal power she posessed when she sang that song LIVE on stage DAILY for ALMOST 4 YEARS, she would still blow that ungrateful, confused child out of the wata.
