Granite Countertops May Contain Uranium

Many homeowners are having to remove their new countertops because the granite in them has been found to emit hazardous levels of radon. What do you think?

Today’s photo of the day comes from yesterday’s 100-meter hurdles race, where Dawn Harper (left) won a surprise gold medal after Lolo Jones (lane 6) bumped into the penultimate hurdle. While there was nothing more beautiful than watching Harper win, my heart aches for Jones, who was a favorite to win the contest.
