Is he serious?
June 8, 2006 by Marc Lamont Hill

In addition to predicting natural disasters, ordering hits on foreign leaders, and acting as God’s spokesman, Pat Robertson recently told reporters that he has leg pressed 2000 pounds.
The 75-year-old religious broadcaster told reporters that he leg pressed a ton in March 2003, as he was dealing with prostate cancer. Additionally, he noted that he regularly lifts 1200 pounds as part of his workout routine.
Incidentally, the Florida State University football team’s leg press record is 665 pounds less than Robertson’s alleged high.
How does Robertson explain his superhuman strength?
“I [only] did it one time, one rep, but I had built up to it for about three years,” he told the Associated Press.
Oh. Well that’s entirely reasonable.
Additionally, and purely coincidentally, Robertson’s website now advertises Pat Robertson’s “age-defying protein shake.” Also, Robertson has licensed his name to Columbus, Ohio-based Basic Organics Inc., which makes a similar product called Pat’s Diet Shake.
