Lieberman Wins

The buzz here in Washington was that Ned Lamont might pull off an upset and defeat Joe Lieberman. Unfortunately, that isn’t going to happen. Buoyed by Republican support (35%), Lieberman easily defeated Lamont and Schlessinger and will return to Capitol Hill.

Lieberman votes like a Republican regarding the War and is elected by Republicans in his home state because of it. I guess Lieberman can be called an Independent Republican.
