By now, most of your brackets are butchered beyond recognition. Have no fear, for I am here to save those of you who have the opportunity to place bets or make predictions on the remaining games.

Admittedly, I’m much better with the NBA playoffs (I’ve predicted the NBA Final Four and finalists for the past 10 years in a row, and the champion in 9 of the last 10 years. Them damn Lakers broke the streak in 2004 when the Pistons punished them.) Disclaimers aside, I predict that the Final Four will include:

Duke
Simply put, Duke is well coached, highly experienced, and has big time players (Yes, they’ll most likely turn into disappointing NBA players a la Christain Laettner but we can worry about that later). How can you bet against them?

Gonzaga
Don’t sleep on UCLA, but the Zags should beat up on a very tough Pittsburgh team on its way to the Final Four.

UConn
I’d love to see them lose, but UNC just doesn’t have enough to defend its title this year.

Florida
Nova’s four guards will shoot themselves out of a big game and/or get punished under the basket very soon. Ohio State has a legitimate chance too.

National Championship

I’ll announce the national champion after the Final Four plays out. Hint: The team wears blue uniforms and plays in Durham, North Carolina.
