Rick Ross attempting to explain the irrefutable evidence that he was a correctional officer rather than a D-boy:

“In the game we in, it’s real competitive,” Ross told Power 98.3 FM. “Competitors have to do what they have to do to eat. We making the best music. Y’all seen the BET Awards, y’all saw the magazine. We the biggest in the game, we the best in the game. Just keeping it real. And anytime somebody can attack my character, like I said, you get nothing from the Boss. I don’t give haters the pleasure.“

“When you get to my level, you’re a great conversation piece,” Rick Ross calmly explained. “I’m big on the blogs, I’m big on the magazines, and I appreciate that as an artist. That’s why I’m in the game. I got in this game to introduce people and to make great music. And that’s what it’s about.

“We gon’ keep the records coming, we gon’ keep the music coming. Like I said, I’m one of the realest sources of this real street music in this game. Straight out of Miami, straight out of M-I-Yayo. One of my closest homies was on America’s Most Wanted.”

Just let it go, Officer Roberts!!!

I dont see what the big deal is about this. Why can’t he just admit to being a correctional officer and be done with it. People aren’t clowning him being a officer, but more so that he is lying about it.

LOL…Officer Roberts

I’ve went off on another blog about this, so I wont repeat myself.

But, Why is he denying that at one point in his life, he had a salary-paying, legal job?

Is that shameful, nowadays? Apparently so.

“America’s most wanted…”….please!

what does having a homey on America’s Most Wanted got to do with being ‘from the streets’. I got a cousin on death row but that doesnt make me the Big OG on the block! Puhleese!

What a sad state black America is in….Let me get this correct he has to defend the fact that he made an honest living but he brags of being a criminal!!! Is DeNiro a killer in real life…is Schartzenegger a terminator? Why is it so important to these fellas that the buffoonish and thuggish personas thay have appear real. If you truly did all the things you rap about you’d be in jail. Perhaps you should be there anyway!

Wait, Wait, hold up; are you telling me Akon DIDN’T do time behind bars????????????

OMG!!! He used to talk about jail and being a convict all the time!!!

I mean, I know rappers lie all day long about what they did, who they killed, and how many times they’ve been shot, but Akon seemed rather convincing!

Maybe he should try his hand at acting!!!!

Damn, is anybody in the game for real?!?!?!?!?!?!?

It would be great good news if none of them were really criminals, but it would also be sad news on a whole nether level.

Tanya, I’m pretty sure Akon did like three months for a stolen car as opposed to the 3 years for the “car stealing ring” he was supposedly kingpin of. And he had some sort of probation for a gun charge too but I don’t think he did time for it.

No Max, Akon has never done any time in prison or jail, his entire back story is a lie. I’ve heard the rumors in my circle ever since he came out but The Smoking Gun’s recent story uncovered it all. Akon is not a con.
