I am thrilled to announce that Mumia Abu-Jamal has joined the Barbershop as a weekly contributor!! His column, “Live From Death Row,” will appear every Wednesday starting next week.

Mumia Abu-Jamal is one of the world’s most celebrated journalists, freedom fighters, and political prisoners. Since his early days in Philadelphia, Mumia was an active member of the Black freedom sruggle. From his award-winning journalism to his involvement with the Black Panther Party, Mumia has devoted his life to Black liberation. Wrongfully incarcerated since 1981 for the murder of Officer Daniel Faulkner, Mumia has continued to place a spotlight on various forms of injustice around the globe through his numerous columns, commentaries, and books. Mumia has generated international support for his own case, which has been one of the most glaring and repugnant reflections of the criminal (in)justice system.

Welcome, Brother Mumia!!!!

I’m sorry. Did you say: “Wrongfully incarcerated since 1981 for the murder of Officer Daniel Faulkner”?

Please remove all emotions from your opinion and look at the facts only. No matter how great a person you think he is, he murdered Danny Faulkner and was caught with the (actual, not proverbial) smoking gun in his hand.

My sincere hope is that Mumia comes to repentance and trusting faith in Jesus Christ. Outside of that he is a “dead man walking”. Not because of the prison bars, but from the wages of sin that he has earned: Death.

Too bad you are not on death row with him.

Czar Obama will probably want to share his Peace price with him, since they both have the same agenda in mind

My last comment and the last time I will ever visit this website is “that so called Doctor Lamont HIll is nothing more than another America hating black man that feels he is entitled to trash this country any way he pleases simply because of his race” and due to perceived injustices of the black race in early America. Mumia Abu-Jamal is nothing more than coward and a cold blooded killer who will get his just reward in hell, and may it be real soon

Good one, Andre! I bet that person is white, too. Sorry Sherry baby, unless you are what white people have now titled “American Indian” this here AIN’T your country. YOUR country is somehwhere where it is really cold. Go find it!

And to think I really liked you when you debated O’Reilly. I thought you were a nice-looking, clean cut, very intelligent, eloquent speaker (the fastest speaker I ever heard, but with clarity) and even though you had an opposing view, I thought you were given the short end some times by O’Reilly not giving you a chance to talk.

But how can you side with a cop killer? How does someone with your intelligence sell out the very (capitalist) system that helped you get where you are? I am extremely disappointed in you.

Mumia Abu-Jamal is a cop killer. While I do not share your far-left ideology Mr. Hill, I enjoyed your segments on the O’Reilly Factor. However, now that I know you are an apologist for felons, I am disappointed that I was ever interested in what you had to say. Clearly, an education doesn’t make you smart. How you can side with a someone who could take the life of a man willing to protect your streets? Mumia Abu-Jamal should fry for his crime, not be celebrated for it. Same on you.

Have your say
