Intentional or not it does evoke images of King Kong and his blonde. They could have done so much better with this cover, no question. I wonder if the subjects, namely Lebron, has any say on the final cover shot?

Racist? How? Because he’s holding her and has his mouth open? Sheesh, people will see whatever they WANT to see in anything.

I don’t think it is racist… I think the honest idea of the cover was to show two ppl who have fit bodies doing what they do. He looks like he about to drive a ball to the whole and she looks like a model. I will say that it is somewhat ackward. I think the creative director could have come up with something better. But I do understand the concept for the cover.

I mean honestly I think you see racism when you are trying to find it. When I saw this cover a couple of days ago I just really focused on Lebron and thinking he is beast about to drive it down the court against Kobe or Mike.

Racist??? – Absolutely NOT! Don’t be ridiculous.

Everyone wants either a model’s body or an athlete’s body. This month’s issue of Vogue is all about the perfect body, dieting and finding the best fitting clothes.

Gisele and Lebron are at the top of their respective fields; so they’re featured on the cover together in a nature male athlete, female model posture.

People expect athletes to be aggressive and intimidating and expect models to be happy and soft. No racism, just industry standard. No big deal, no underline nothing.

Racist how? Lebron is only one of three men to ever make the cover of this predominately female magazine. And to be on their with Tom Brady’s girlfriend Gisele doesnt seem racist to me. I posted this cover on my site last week.
