Photo of the Day

Today’s photo of the day shows Tim Duncan, whose Spurs are on the brink of elimination by the Los Angeles Lakers. While some will ultimately blame the Spurs’ fall on last night’s no-call at the buzzer, their failure to maintain the 20 point lead in Game 1 gave the Lakers an unshakable confidence that will carry them into the Finals.

Put a bow on the Spurs because this series is a wrap.

I wish I could agree but if there’s one thing I’ve learned about the Spurs over the last few years, it’s that they’re never out of it until they’re out of it. Just ask the Hornets.

That may be true Max but the Hornets are not the Lakers. You can’t compare a team with less than 15 total games of playoff experience with a team built around players who not only have a wealth of playoff experience here and overseas but know what it takes to win it all like you have in Kobe and Fisher. The Hornet with the most playoff experience was Coach Scott and that’s not good enough.

Oh I agree with you DCI; the Hornets aren’t as high a caliber team as the Lakers are. And I really hope the Lakers win because I can’t stand the Spurs, but I can’t write off the Spurs until they’re at home watching the finals on TNT. The Lakers do have the Spurs at a disadvantage, but as much playoff experience as they have as individuals, this is this Lakers unit’s first playoff run together. The Spurs core cast has been there for years and they have a habit of winning it all as of late.
I really can’t stress enough that I hate the Spurs and if I saw Manu Ginobili in public I would punch him in the stomach and run. Give his ass something to flop about.

Lol @ Max I feel you. I don’t completely dislike the Spurs I just don’t want to watch them again this year.
