My highlight of the game was when Rudy Fernandez crowned Dwight Howard (most overrated player in the league)

Dwight Howard is overrated?!?!?!? He is a beast and the best young big man in the game. In 3 years, he will be unstoppable.

He’s not the best young big man in the game. The best young big man in the game is standing next to him. Dwight Howard has absolutely no offensive game, none. Can’t play with his back to the basket, can’t score from outside of 3 feet, doesn’t even know what a jumper is. I’m not even being a homer here, Dwight Howard is just big and more athletic than anyone else his size, that’s his only advantage. Chris Bosh is definitely going to be MVP of the league sometime in the near future. Quote me on it.

During an NBC interview, I heard both Kobe Bryant and LeBron James say they were “Proud to be Americans.”
Boy, that was refreshing to hear …

Wow. Mark Lamont Hill, I can’t believe you didn’t see anything ‘racial’ in that picture. You usually find something under every rock.
That said, this picture represents proud Americans making Americans proud. Good job all.

This game opened my eyes to the fact that America’s dominance in basketball is on the verge of nonexistence. Our best struggled to win that game against 17 year old Rick Rubio and the Gasol brothers. BTW Dwight Howard is over rated.

Bobby, if you’re going to come here and talk shit, the least you can do is spell the professor’s name right.

Sounds like a young Shaquille O’Neil. Bosh an MVP? Not unless he is traded to the Knicks one day. Someone with Howard’s size and athleticism doesn’t need a jumper.
…..btw, I’m not understanding what Tom Penn is trying to say?

Howard is overrated.
Now that O’Neal is in Toronto you’re going to see how good Bosh really is this season.

Nubian King, which Shaq were you watching? He always had an offensive game and playing with his back to the basket was always one of his strengths. Maybe you and Dwight Howard need to go back and watch some tape of Shaq and learn what a good young big man is.

Blax,
In his youth (LSU & Orlando), Shaq simply overpowered his opponents (all dunks). He didn’t have a drop-step, jump-hook, etc. He eventually developed those elements of his game. People often forget that Howard came to the pros straight from high school. Offensive moves can be taught (remember how bad Patrick Ewings was offensively out of college?), but Howard’s size and athleticism is unique. I guess you haven’t but I have seen Howard put the fear of God in opponents (ask Ben Wallace). Just give him time and you’ll see him posterize your boy Bosh on a consistent basis. Lol- don’t get me wrong, Bosh is nasty too.
Btw, the Olympic team needed big men. If not Dwight Howard, who should have been picked – Sam Dalenbert (sp?), Eddy Curry, Eric Dampier ?

Sam Dalembert is Canadian, Eddy Curry is fat, Eric Dampier is a bum. They should have taken Tyson Chandler for his defense, Tim Duncan will never play international ball ever again so he’s out, Greg Oden will probably be on the 2012 team if he lives up to expectations, Carlos Boozer was out of place tho his game isn’t built for international play (it will next year when they get rid of the trapezoid key and add a restricted area). Camby is too old and I don’t think Amare Stoudemire is suited for the team, everything he does can be done by Howard and Bosh
