I think it’s different when women cross-dress. A feminine looking woman will always look feminine. I had a female friend who used to cross-dress from time to time, and she looked like a cute girl in a halloween costume – nothing masculine about it. When a guy dresses as a woman, it comes off as feminine, and I think that’s what can make it troubling.
