I think it is an issue of compassion. They should just move. Unfortunately with some they do not like the idea of muslims. period. regardless of where they are. we cannot change them. Che Guevara once said that “silence is revolution carried out by other means.” So, if the prayer center, acting in compassion with the wishes of a predominantly christian state, it shows something. Bob Marley once said, “fussing and fighting is giving praises to the devil.” I see the point of consitutional rights, but by being compassionate, we teach the ignorant, much like the Budha taught.

BTW…I corresponded with you earlier in regards to your hip hop book and my kids this year are amped up. I am considering doing further studies on this area when I pursue my doctorate. I love the idea of using such a genre to find one’s true identity.

Peace and Jah Bless.

Marc;

I think you missed a point.

The KKK has every right to march anywhere they want, and we full understand that they are an intolerant group for doing it without regard for everyone else. The Branch Davidians had every right to exist in an activist realm, and we all fully understood that they were fanatics for doing so. Tim McVeigh was allowed to be as anti government as he wished too, and when he took intolerance to the next level we all fully understood that he was an intolerant terrorist.

This guy can build anything he wants, but if his process is intolerant of everyone around him, then we should also hold the same rules true.

He has done nothing to show tolerance, had not even attempted to calm the opposition. This is the reason why they call him intolerant and liken him to the radical Islamics that are so closely associated to the area that he wants to build in.

We dont degrade people because they are afraid, we instead do our best to make them understand that there is no reason to fear us.

I think that it should be built. I have no intolerance against Muslims in any form.

I most definetly feel the Mosque should be built ! was only months ago when the Senate wanted reaffirmation that Sonja SotoMeyer wasn’t going to use compassion regarding her decisions on the Supreme Court Bench? Now those same people and other white folks want to apply compassion yea right! Wasn’t no compassion given when white folks incarcerate blackpeople at an alarming rate! So Hell To The Nah, No compassion needed build the damn thang!
