Last night, Robert Horry dashed the hopes of the Denver Nuggets with yet another big shot. Who the hell keeps leaving him open in the playoffs?
Based on their performance, the Denver Nuggets are one defensive stopper away from making a serious playoff run next year. If the Nuggets are smart, they’ll pursue a solid perimeter defender (say, a sane Ron Artest) to help cover up Iverson’s defensive shortcomings.
Although he’s a solid defender, Marcus Camby should not be defensive player of the year. Despite his gawdy shot blocking and rebounding numbers, Camby is god awful against the pick and roll, undoubtedly the most important play in the NBA. Perhaps this is why his team allows fewer points when he’s sitting down.
The Mayweather/De La Hoya fight is being hyped up to be one of the best of all time. I’m riding with Floyd…
Why are we still tallking about Curt Schilling’s bloody sock?
With the Mavericks on the ropes, Dirk Nowitzki will be forced to show whether or not he’s a true superstar. In order for the Mavs to pull this series out –which is quite possible– they will need Dirk to put the team on his back and play like his reputation depends on it.
Although the Heat’s first round exit was surprising, it shouldn’t have been. Simply put, the Chicago Bulls were faster, healthier, younger, and more hungry than the Heat. It will be interesting to see what free agents they’ll sign (and who they’ll cut) in order to regain their championship form.
Why the hell did the Philadelphia Eagles draft a quarterback? Do they think that defensive backs are overrated????????
