Strickland Beats Blackwell

Fortunately, Kenneth Blackwell was defeated by US Representative Ted Strickland in the Ohio governor’s race. For those that don’t know, Blackwell helped the GOP steal the 2004 presidential election. As Secretary of State and co-chair of the Bush-Cheney Re-election Campaign in 2004, Blackwell issued a directive following the 2004 presidential primary ordering that voters voting in the wrong precinct would not have their votes counted at all. This decision clearly favored Bush and undermined any sense of fairness or democracy. Fortunately, Blackwell’s Bush ties have come back to bite him.
