Of course I can’t hate on this, I was an intern at Bad Boy when this dropped so I remember this era vividly. This is one of the best hip hop remixes ever right up there with Scenario.

a true classic indeed…but i’m gonna be a hater and say, Craig Mack is ugly as shit…i went to school with a GIRL that look just like his ass…poor thing, we used to call her “craig mack”…man, that girl looked like his long lost “self”…i can’t even say twin, because even twins have variations…i know, i know, kids are soooo cruel…the good news is, i repented from all the foul shit i’ve said about her too…cause for all i know she could be Jesus as well…

i don’t know why, but this video got me ready to put on a little black dress, and shake my ass….

ok folks, see you at church this sunday…..

Ok Doc make it happen.

Wayne has proven to me that he can rap, he definitely has the basic skills that a rapper needs. Now even though I find his whiny, mouse-like voice very annoying I can get past that if he’s actually spitting about something beyond money, clothes, cars, drugs, violence and women. So if you can find that 8, 16 or even a whole song I’ll gladly listen.

DC174, I am with you, Lil Wayne is crap. Maybe he can rap, but he can’t get beyond ‘bitches, sex, clothes, money, etc.’

you guys ever heard of evolution???….come on y’all, give wayne a break….out of all the “rappers” out here talking that BULL, he does it the BEST!!! sometimes, you gotta say “fuck depth”…and just appreciate things for what they’re worth…

hey to each is own…i mean, it’s not that i agree with everything he says. shoot, i’m a young woman, who has plenty of respect for myself, but i can’t front, his shit thump….period.

yeah i know he’s talking wreckless, but SO.

and contrary to popular belief, lil wayne is deeper than what you guys think.

Hold up Regkam2, I never said Wayne was crap I said to me he’s extremely boring and is a very average one-dimensional rapper with a really annoying voice.

Wyltk I get what you are saying about evolution and I can easily hear that when listening to Andre 3000 who has evolved dramatically from Southernplayalisticadilacmuzik, but what has Wayne evolved from and what is he evolving into? I’m a writer so I’m always tuned in more to the lyrics than the music so I can’t just fall back and say “fuck depth,” I value my brain and the information it receives daily too much to not look for depth. Wayne is good at what he does but he doesn’t make any music I would regularly listen to.

i don’t know, maybe i’m not articulating myself well about this…because i too am a writer, and i take the craft very seriously, so i’m not trying to offend you DC, with the “fuck depth” statement…if i have, i apologize….

on the same breath though, i’m a realist, and what wayne is speaking about, is a reality. it may not be yours or mine, but it’s someone’s…and people like to run away from the “craig mack” truth…he’s just bringing the “craig mack” truth to light…

me being a self-respecting woman, i don’t always agree with his lyrical content….but i’ve realized, that’s that man’s reality, and when he spits about it, he goes HARD! that i can’t front on….lil Wayne has a way of making you feel him, and that is what i appreciate.

btw- lil wayne has evolved, it might have been baby steps, but still evolution none the less….give him a minute…remember, patience is a virtue….

Lol don’t worry wyltk I am not easily offended so it’s cool. I hear what you are saying and I think it’s cool that you can connect to his lyrics, clearly that’s why he has fans I’m just not one of them. Just because I don’t like his music is not an indictment on his talent, again he’s good at what he does he just doesn’t do it for me save for a couple of songs.

Wayne is talented but if I’m deciding to listen to him or Black Thought, Immortal Technique, Naledge from Kidz in the Hall, Termanology, or Common just to name a few, Wayne would lose every single time.

Classic hotness! I miss these days of Hip-Hop. Damn, Hip-Hop really is Dead!

“I find his [Little Wayne's] whiny, mouse-like voice very annoying”, I’m with you on this DC. Also, I just can’t take anyone seriously who precedes their name with the title of “Little”. Little are their minds indeed.

BTW – “I am not easily offended so it’s cool.” (DC) Um…yeah, right! (You know I love you DC!)

Wow. Thanks for the post. Haven’t heard this one in years. This song takes me back to my ninth grade year of high school. BTW, where is Craig Mack? What’s he been up to?

Ok, I would like to withdraw my previous comments disparaging my boy Wezzy. I just listened to some of his stuff and I can hate no longer. The boy is good. His lyrics and beats are hot. Wayne is hot!

I saw some footage of him and he seems like a genuine person with actual morals. He has a BA is Psychology and appears aware and generous. I respect him now, and he gave some good advice to the little kiddies on MTV. He’s on top of his game.
