Hmmmmmmm……. This is interesting. My fried who studies psychology is doing a study on the depreciation of masculinity in the west. I will definitely have to show him this video.

i kept waiting for something to happen, like something funny or interesting. a fairly boring home movie.
dude can dance a little bit, but back in my day, at this kid’s age, i would have blown him away with my liza minelli routine. and i was, without a doubt, bette midler’s boogie woogie bugle boy from company b! thank god we couldn’t afford a video camera.

Ok, I’m going to be completely honest…when the video started my first thoughts were…”where’s his father?”

The kid’s got talent. The problem is we don’t want to acknowledge it because it comes in a package we don’t like. Like a gay rapper who could house Rakim on the mic. it just wouldn’t matter.

JJG, Why are worried about where I was? I was holding the camera if you must know.
LOL @ James

I agree, R.oB. My initial thoughts shifted to what my response would be if I were this boy’s mother. I wondered if I would love him any differently because I know what my faith says about effeminism and homosexuality. Then I noticed how talented this cute little boy is and began to think that if I were his mother, I would spend more time thinking up ways of putting my baby on the fast track to Juilliard as opposed to questioning the sexuality of a 7-year-old. If he were indeed gay, it would then become my role to prep him for the inevitable discrimination that he will face as a homosexual Black man.
My second set of thoughts shifted to how skilled this little man is! After he dropped it on the wall and bust into serial splits, I was done.

Talented? Yes. Proof that he might be watching too much TV? Definitely. I’m not trying to have a discussion about the possible sexual orientation of a child especially one that isn’t mine and I have no connection to. I do agree that this raises the question of what it truly means to be man or a woman and that’s on a much grander scale than a little boy dancing.

It’s actually not about how this child identifies(gender). It’s about the adults in his life allowing this footage to be posted all over the web. POOR JUDGEMENT. There should be some child-net protection laws to stop this. Why do people post images of their babies on the net? What if some freak is somewhere wacking off to this? Am I the only one who feels this way?Dang!

Personally, I love the kid videos. The kid who got Phillys fans to cheer by raising his arms is one of my favorites.

Forget what if gigi I think it’s safe and equally disgusting to say that there probably is from freak somewhere enjoying this video in the wrong way. You’re right, the adults in his life should not be let off the hook. But let’s be honest, we don’t have to think too hard about why this video was even posted, we live in a instant celebrity society and like many of other millions that post videos on sites like youtube, they’re seeking their 15 or so minutes of fame at whatever expense. Some parents push their kids to develop the talent they lack themselves or the parent has no idea what real talent is so they latch onto anything they think their kid does that’s cute and suddenly “my baby is gonna be a star.” It’s also part of the American Idol syndrome that has awful tone-deaf singers believing they have talent because the people closest to them are also completely tone-deaf and couldn’t hit a note on-key to save their life. I seriously doubt this kid begged his mother or father to post this video.

WOW! This Lil man must not have a father figure in the house. If it was my son, I would be embarrassed. For some reason he reminds me of Sisqo of Dru Hill.

He’s a grown up…confident and innocent..and you “adults” are judging something you know nothing about. Progress will come when a person can dance however they want and people won’t care(its your own sexual insecurity and matrix-locked ideology that is causing you “adults” to see a boy dance and then have gay thoughts, rather than appreciate his beyonce skills lol)He’d probably swoop your daughters and beat up your sons.BLOG

This little botty boy has NOOOOO talent at all. But with the lack of true talent around, and as DC mentioned, the anything half way “cute” can make you famous chill that has infected America, I’m not surprised that people can’t identify real talent anymore.
This kid has absolutely NOOOO dancing capabilities at all. And I say this as someone who has been classically trained in ballet and tap for 14 years! He has NOOO technique and no inclination of structured movement. I’ve seen 4 year olds that have move control over there movement and more signs of dance ability than this boy.
There was not one single thing that even slightly resembled a dance move here at all. All this boy did was awkwardly move back and forth like a little girl. His father needs to take him and put some serious licks in his backside!
This video was disgusting!
