The Minnesota video struck me as odd because based on 2005 census data the state is 90% white (western European decent) and only 5% black yet all but one person that was interviewed was black. Does this mean no white people in MN eat Popeyes chicken? Is just seems odd that with there being only one Popeyes in the entire state of over 5 million people there seemed to be a complete dearth of chicken-loving white folks. Now I know white people like fried chicken too so this video seems weird, millions of white people yet somehow none of them wanted the chicken deal…I’m not buying that. (no pun intended)

Removing race from the equation, I have never heard of a fast food restaurant running out of food especially their signature item or items. It’s not like Popeyes is known for burgers and they do chicken on the side, chicken is their business so how they run out of chicken in the midst of a huge promotion makes no sense. The owner of that Rochester franchise not only dropped the ball but lost crazy money that day.

Lol @ Hennehn Reeves, you couldn’t be more wrong. Yes the Rochester Popeyes is in a neighborhood considered by some to be a black neighborhood but the same can’t be said for the Minneapolis spot, it’s in the heart of downtown in a city predominately white city.

Seriously, I have no idea how fried chicken became a “black thing”. White southerns eat fried chicken more than squirrels eat nuts. In fact, all people, of all ethnicities, in every part of the world, eat chicken (fried included) more than any other protein source. So why this stereotypical link between blacks and fried chicken? How did that start?

And of course these people are upset. Nobody likes to miss out on a sale! I mean, people literally get tramped to death when Walmart has their one day super sale! At least no one got hurt lining up for discounted chicken here. lol
