Video of the Day

Today’s video of the day is an interesting piece on Stephon Marbury. Unfortunately, he seems destined to go down in history as a phenomenally talented athlete who just couldn’t play with others.

i used to love this guy as a rookie and few year after on to the nets then the suns. then after my love for the nba faded i forgot bout him too. wow, he can’t be as bad as many many other players. just let the dude play. put him on the right squad.

Man I still remember all the hype when he was balling at Lincoln and then when he got to GT. If you look at the history Marbury was actually one of the if not the first one-and-done college basketball player. His one-on-one skills are ridiculous but he has proven himself to lack the necessary team skills of a successful guard in the NBA. The difference between Marbury and say a Rajon Rondo is like night and day, Rondo makes his team better but Marbury’s plus/minus stats stay in the minus when he’s on the court and all his former teams do better after they trade him. He could’ve been a great player.
