Today’s video of the day comes from The O’Reilly Factor, where I discussed (surprise!) Harry Reid.

Again conservatives show their ignorance of institutionalized and historical racism. There are definite examples of opponents making their opponent’s skin look darker and associating them with some kind of dangerous or threatening activity. Anyway I think the whole Harry Reid situation should wake up my fellow African Americans to realize that democrats have prejudiced views of us as well no matter how much they cast votes that we favor. We need to follow the lead of Bernie Sanders and become independents with progressive views. We cannot keep giving over 90% of our vote to democrats no matter what they do. We don’t have to vote for Republicans but we don’t have to vote for democrats in 2010 and 2012 either unless we get true progressives.

O’Reilly says there are “17 black people in Nevada and he knows all of them.” Even in a simple comment, he shows his ignorance and biased. African Americans are everywhere. This statement implies that African Americans are centralized in specific locations and are not welcome in specific areas. This statement standing alone is example of the institutionalism of segregation with the reporters on FOX. I know it was meant to be a joke, but peoples true personality traits are typically evident in the their style and content of jocularity.
