Today’s “What’s the Science??” is dedicated to Monday night’s 2008 BET Awards. Since I wasn’t able to catch the bulk of the show, I need your help: Who had the best performances? Who made a fool of herself? Who looked the best? Whose awards speech went too long? Who got cheated out of an award?
WHAT’S THE SCIENCE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!

i know the shop is anti-bet, but i was wondering when you’d post something like this.

ok here’s my take:

Keisha Cole’s performance sucked ass(maybe she should tell us how shaq’s ass taste). first off she sounded HORRIBLE, every last note was off key, every last single fuckin’ note(i mean damn, not even one though?). then, that so-called dancing that she put down, was a hot mess. lil’ kim kinda sorta killed her verse, but and there is a BUT, they were too damn hype in that performance, and for all the wrong reasons. if you catch the show when they replay it on friday, you’ll see what i’m talking about.

Frankie and Neffy(her mom & sis)- i have NO COMMENT! all i’m gonna say is, somebody need to check them, seriously.

Chris Brown and Ciara Killed their performance. the choreography was hot, especially when Ciara did that matrix shit at the end…FIRE!

Rhianna was dryer than Ben Stein in the Sahara. you’d think after she saw someone grind up on her man like that, she would have came out with at least a killer two step…shit if you can’t do anything else, bitch KILL the two step…if it counts for anything, at least she LOOKED amazing….

who else?…..

Lil Wayne tore up the stage, as he should! his performance was hot, and filled with high energy and passion. He get an “A” from me….just say that…how do you just give someone an “A”? next prize will be “wow” stickers…moving right along….

Alicia Key’s performance was dope. i like how she brought all the O.G divas out…she rarely disappoints…i was feeling her hair too…

who else?….

oh yeah, Cuba Gooding Jr. was a draw box(weirdo), up on that stage like that. i dunno, something about his behavior was off. i mean, waaaaaay off…

is it just me, or isn’t Al Green funny as all hell???
i dunno, dude had me rolling…but he’s the man, i can’t deny..

speaking of Al Green, Anthony Hamilton murdered his rendition of “tired of being alone”. he killed that shit! oh yeah, and his tiny ass clean up well!! go Anthony! also, Maxwell had me swooning and screaming at the T.V set, groupie style, so i guess it’s safe to say he killed it too….

i love me some Jill Scott, but seriously i’ma need them to stop putting my girl in those damn Moo-Moos! it makes her look like a cow, hence the damn name! stop doing my girl dirty, for real…

who else?…..hmmmm, i guess that’s it for now. if i think of anything else i’ll get back…..

Alicia brought out swv, en vogue and tlc for the best performance of the night but al greens performance was a close second. Lotta love for obama was shown. It was an ok show

I didn’t catch all of it, but from what I did see:

The Good
Keyshia Cole lookin good in those white shorts. She didn’t sound too good though.
T Pain’s performance with the girls walking on stilts. He just looked too much like Willy Wonka.
Alicia Keys’ performance because she brought out SWV, TLC, and En Vogue. Mmmm, Cindy and Terry.
Chris Brown and Ciara were pretty good too with the water effects in the background while they were freakin each other.

The Bad
Neicy Nash’s segment sucked when she brought out the little white kids.
Keyshia Cole’s mom was actin up.
What was with the “dot, dot, dot” Baldwin Hills chick?
Diddy was buggin out at the afterparty. He was clearly twisted and he kept hogging the camera.

I find it interesting no one has said anything about Usher or Ne-Yo. First off Usher is getting old. It was written all over those moves. It was kind of dry and for all the hype it got Al Green was better. He lip sang and the dancing was ok nothing to exciting.
However it must be the year of the gentleman because Ne- Yo tore it up.
Marvin Sapp held it down for my gospel listeners. Had me praising God in my house. That man is truly blessed.
Cuba seemed like he was drunk or high. Alicia Keys performance was ok. The concept was very nice. En Vogue held it down, SWV were ok and TLC needed some work. Honestly Tboz looked like she was gonna break down.
Keyshia Cole needs to find a vocal coach quick. I saw perform before she made it big at Howard about 2 or 3 yrs ago and she was great. I thought Sandman was gonna come out on stage.
The best rap performance had to be TPains.

Hey you guys. I didn’t watch the BET awards but I was very disappointed when someone told me that Alicia Keys won best Female Artist. Are you freaking kidding me? Trust me, I am no hater, I have all of Alicia’s Albums, but the last one wasn’t all that. I think the award should’ve gone to Mary J. She killed it this year and she deserved the honor. That’s just my opinion!

wow I thought Tpain looked like a clown. I loved Alicia Key’s perfomance, I thought that was very honorable to bring out the past R&B Divas! I was very excited, I screamed at the TV after each Diva came out (wondering and trying to guess who would be next). Didn’t like that wig on her just not used to seeing her with a “wigy” hairdo. I’m not a lil Wayne fan but I see tons of people are… I guess he was alright (thats what the people who know better than I do are saying). Very disappointed in Cuba. What was wrong with him? He was so extra and it was uncalled for. He’s an actor, he should have been able to get up there and act right! Well delivered tribute to Quincy Jones. Rhianna’s performance was not entertaining… I expected more. There was a lot of sexual energy going on… Gabrelle Union & “Antoine Fisher”, Chris Brown & Ciera. This is the first time I viewed the BET awards in years, I was able to stay up and watch the entire show and I enjoyed it.

oh lil Kim please STOP w the cosmetic surgery… she doesn’t look like herself anymore. If it wasn’t for her voice I would not have known who she was. Her body is tight and her face is pretty but her face was pretty before.

NE-YO WAS THE HOTTEST ACT ON THE SHOW. ALICIA WAS GREAT TOO!

Ne-yo was hott, but the fact that Alicia bought to stage Envouge, TLC and SWV, made her performance my fave. T-pain-in-da-ass looked like a damn fool (no surprises there). According to their behavior, both Cuba Gooding Jr and P.Diddy seemed to be either drunk or high that night. Kayne took home his fair share of awards and drug Lil Wayne to the stage with him for reasons I’ll never know. BTW, am I the only person who HATES Lil Waynes’ “music”?

WYLTK was dead on about Anthony Hamilton. He should take a shave and a haircut more often. He was bordering on hot. I thought I was the only one who wondered what the HE&^&ll Jill Scott was wearing? Did I already say how hot Ne-yo was and how tired Usher was?

And Dr. Marc can we please have a post about why everybody thinks Lil Wayne is a superstar and I think he is garbage? Huh, can we, can we?????

Can ya’ll tell I’m not working much today??
