Ten things each candidate must do in Mississippi tonight to win.

The first presidential debate scheduled for the University of Mississippi tonight is being held hostage be John McCain’s deep concern for the economy, but plans remain in place for the showdown, which would give Americans the first opportunity for a side-by-side comparison of the two White House hopefuls. A clear win by either side will change the dynamics of the last five weeks of the campaign. Here are ten things each man can do to win.
Tips for Obama
1. Frame the debate around a new version of the old question: “Is the country better off now than it was eight years ago?”
2. Be the smartest guy in the room, but don’t act like the smartest guy in the room.
3. Wear a lei to remind viewers that you’re an American.
4. Never back away from the fact that Iraq was a bad idea for the United States.
5. Promise government jobs to the five Wall Street refugees who don’t already work for Uncle Sam.
6. Avoid all references to lipsticks, pigs, pitbulls and Palins.

First AH – check your spelling “hostage by” – not “be”
Second, McCain recognizes that as long as he’s paid the Senator’s Salary of $170,000 per year that he has a JOB – and it’s a f_ing full time job. Something that “I vote Present” Obama doesn’t understand!
Until Obama resigns from the Senate and stops taking the Salary that taxpayers are providing Obama has a f_ng responsibility” to do his JOB – and his f_ing job description as a U.S. Senator isn’t “run for President” – A_hole !

10. Don’t tout the $100,000 grant for Englewood Garden as an example of your ability to make government work for the people.

I can’t wait for McCain’s public colonoscopy tonight. It’s not about Obama winning, but winning with dignity or winning like Terrel Owens. The Bush administration and the ideology that dominates it are spectacularly demonstrated failures. Just keep point out how McCain was behind every single one of them and leave it there. Don’t rub salt in the wound, just stick to the facts and the truth.

By behind I mean McCain supported the failed policies not the cause of the catastrophe. That would be a political mistake however true or untrue it may be.

You mean policies like the legislation that the House democrats blocked a few years ago? That legislation could have helped keep Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from screwing things up.
Facts and truth? Please.
The debates mean nothing. Each candidate just states their positions and the Obama marketing team will have him trying to look “presidential”. The guy is a bafoon.

haha, a conservative named kathleen something (can’t remember her last name right now) said it best;
“If Bullshit was currency, Sarah Palin could bailout the economy herself!!”
Tanya, please don’t be stubborn on this point. I don’t care about our past squabbles, but THIS! no, i know you are smart enough and real enough to admit that she is dumb as a pile of rocks.
She may be a nice woman, but she is for damn sure is not ready to be VP, let alone prez…

LOL That’s a great line!!! I’m going to use that. (sub on Sarah of course!)
“she [Palin] is dumb as a pile of rocks.”
I have to honestly disagree on that. Sarah is a smart chick, she’s just “country”. She’s not hip to the game yet; and she’s a lot nervous. But she is well prepared for the debate and she is going to give it to Biden!
I don’t think Palin is ready to be lead this country. But her positions are what this country needs to be lead by.

Auh, the verdict is still out on that, but I’m leaning towards a NO!

Garrett, I beg of you: If you’re going to insult someone, PLEASE spell the insult correctly. Damn!
Misspellings and poor grammar detract from your rants–they diminish them greatly–not that they mean shit anyway–I’m just saying…
